Tesla car recalls 2023: Check the full list of vehicle models recalled this year

Over 2 million Tesla vehicles were recalled Wednesday and the company will offering a free software update, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced, over issues concerning the cars' autopilot feature.
This is not the first recall notice from Tesla this year, which is led by CEO and billionaire Elon Musk. As of Dec. 13, the electric car company had given owners notice of 13 different recalls of its various vehicles, from the Model X to Semi trucks concerning a variety of issues.
USA TODAY tracks car recalls from Tesla and other manufacturers in an automotive recall database, which compiles the latest car and motor vehicle recalls from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Here's what to know about all the Tesla recalls in 2023.
Feb. 15 recall: Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y
Potential vehicles affected: 362,758
Models affected: Certain 2016-2023 Model S, Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, and 2020-2023 Model Y vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving Beta software or pending installation
Problem causing recall: The Full Self-Driving Beta system may have allowed the vehicle to act unsafe around intersections, including traveling straight through an intersection while in a turn-only lane, entering a stop sign-controlled intersection without coming to a complete stop or proceeding into an intersection during a steady yellow traffic signal. The system may also have not responded to changes in posted speed limits or accounted for the driver's adjustment of the vehicle's speed to go faster than posted speed limits.

Feb. 27 recall: Model Y
Potential vehicles affected: 3,470
Models affected: Certain 2022-2023 Model Y vehicles
Problem causing recall: Bolts securing the second row seat back frames may not have been securely tightened.

March 24 recall: Semi trucks
Potential vehicles affected: 35
Models affected:Certain 2023 Tesla Semi trucks
Problem causing recall: The electronic parking brake valve module may have failed to move into the park position while the parking brake was activated.

March 31 recall: Model 3
Potential vehicles affected: 422
Models affected: Certain 2018-2019 Model 3 vehicles
Problem causing recall: The front suspension lateral link fasteners may have loosened, allowing the lateral link to separate from the sub-frame.

April 5 recall: Model X
Potential vehicles affected: 38
Models affected: Certain 2023 Model X vehicles equipped with a full self-driving computer 4.0 and running software release version 2023.2.200
Problem causing recall: Weak camera signal strength may have prevented the rearview image from displaying.

Problem causing recall: The steering wheel fastener may have been loose.

June 13 recall: Semi truck
Potential vehicles affected: 36
Models affected: Certain 2023 Semi vehicles
Problem causing recall: The door warning indicator only displayed when the parking brake is on, and the side door is not fully latched. Tesla also said the door closure warning system allowed the driver to dismiss the notification of the side door being unlatched, which may have resulted in driving with an unsecured door.

Problem causing recall: The pyrotechnic battery disconnect may have been defective.

July 15 recall: Model S, Model X and Model Y
Potential vehicles affected: 1,337
Models affected: Certain 2023 Model S, Model X and Model Y vehicles
Problem causing recall: The forward-facing camera may have been misaligned, causing some of the active safety features including emergency braking, forward collision warning and lane assist to become unavailable without alerting the driver.

Problem causing recall: The front row seatbelts may have not been connected properly to the pretensioner anchors, which can cause the seat belts to detach.

Models affected: Certain 2021-2023 Model X vehicles
Problem causing recall: The vehicle controller may have failed to detect low brake fluid and would not display a warning light.

Nov. 3 recall: Model S, Model X
Potential vehicles affected: 159
Models affected: Certain 2021-2023 Model S and Model X vehicles
Problem causing recall: An incorrect air bag may have been installed with the steering yoke or round steering wheel was replaced with a different style of yoke or steeling wheel.

Dec. 12 Tesla recall: Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y
Potential vehicles affected: 2,031,220
Models affected: 2012-2023 Model S, 2016-2023 Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, and 2020-2023 Model Y vehicles equipped with all versions of Autosteer leading up to the version(s) that contains the recall remedy
Problem causing recall: In certain circumstances when Autosteer, Tesla's autopilot feature, is engaged, the prominence and scope of the feature's controls may not be sufficient to prevent driver misuse of the advanced driver-assistance feature.
